Job summary

General Mills, Inc. seeks a Technologist to support the Family Favorites Business Unit (FFBU) across Kid Cereal brands and Cereal Innovation. You will drive prototyping, laboratory experiments, pilot plant learning, scale-up and commercialization, while partnering with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life.

The role requires lab and manufacturing environment comfort, strong documentation skills, and technical problem-solving with a bias for action to advance projects quickly and safely.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or high school with 2+ years of directly relatable experience.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable in a lab, pilot plant and manufacturing environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, execute and document experiments across benchtop, pilot plant and full scale manufacturing.
• Prototyping, experimental design, analyzing data and documenting findings.
• Learn and operate equipment across multiple technical platforms safely.
• Adhere to food safety requirements and perform risk assessments.
• Create product formulations, specifications and documentation in GMI systems.
