Key responsibilities will include driving prototyping, laboratory experimentation, pilot plant learning, scale-up, and commercialization activities, along with systems setup and specification management.This role offers the opportunity to contribute across a diverse portfolio while building strong partnerships with developers and cross-functional teams across FFBU.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESSupport product R&D across the Big G Family Favorites Business Unit (FFBU). This includes support of product development in Kid Cereal, Emerging Brands, as well as exploration into Innovation spaces outside of box cereal. This role will lead and own portions of work of projects across these spaces.Design, coordinate, execute and document experiments across benchtop, pilot plant and full scale manufacturing. This includes prototyping, experimental design, analyzing experimental data to draw insights, and strong documentation.Capable of learning equipment and technology across multiple technical platforms.Safely operate equipment, understand food safety requirements and ability to perform risk assessmentsBasic product formulation.Support product evaluations and consumer learning.Create product formulations, specifications, and documentation in General Mills (GMI) systemsActively participate in pipeline building activities and leverage the power of the prototype to bring early ideas and feasibility to life.Leverage Digital Tools and Digital Ways of Working to drive faster insights and connected learningCommunication and collaboration with internal & external team membersMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS2-Year Degree or High School Degree with 2+ years of directly relatable experienceDemonstrated strong technical and problem-solving skills.Comfortable in a lab, pilot plant and manufacturing environment.
