Job summary

Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) seeks a Program Director for the California Emergency Response Corps (CERC). The role guides mission delivery, plans approach with staff, recruits and supervises ACMs and staff, deploys teams, and collaborates with BACR, California Volunteers, and partner agencies.

The position is full-time, exempt, hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area with some travel across California and meetings in El Cerrito; salary range is $95,000–$103,000 depending on qualifications

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of broad experience in managing and developing programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with other community agencies.
• Ability to work independently while remaining engaged in a strong, mutually respectful team.
• Clear, friendly and professional public speaking manner.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and/or evenings.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access) and Salesforce.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize.
• Must have their own vehicle and provide car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Guide CERC to fulfill its mission through strategic planning with staff.
• Recruitment, selection and retention of ACMs and staff.
• Deployment planning and supervision of ACMs and deployments.
• Develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies and BACR/ CV.
• Prepare and submit reports and funding proposals to government agencies, BACR, and other funders.
