Job summary

The YMCA of Central New York is seeking an Arts Instructor to join our program in Town of Manlius. You will plan and deliver art lessons, develop proposals, and manage materials, attendance, and schedules while upholding YMCA values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring.

Ideal candidates have a related art degree, experience with students in art education settings, and strong organizational and communication skills to work both collaboratively and independently.

Qualifications

• A college degree related to the position’s art field.
• Experience with students in art education environments preferred.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong experience in fine arts and ability to develop creative lesson plans.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons, develop class proposals and material lists.
• Maintain attendance and class schedules; organize sessions.
• Deliver art lessons aligned with YMCA values and policies.
• Collaborate with team to ensure student well-being and program goals.
• Present leadership and support for youth in a classroom setting.
