Qualifications

• Hands-on knowledge of ceramics equipment (kilns, wheels, controllers).
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hardware, and software-related problems.
• Strong reading of wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; patient with varied technical levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, professional troubleshooting and technical support for Skutt equipment by phone, email, and video.
• Diagnose and resolve kiln, wheel, controller, electrical component issues and related equipment.
• Guide customers through setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Recommend appropriate products, accessories, replacement parts, and solutions based on customer needs.
• Identify root causes and explain technical solutions clearly to customers with varying experience.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions.
• Escalate complex issues and collaborate with engineering, production, sales, and other departments as needed.
• Contribute to updating technical support materials and documentation.
