Job summary

CTS Corporation in Albuquerque is seeking a Ceramic Process Engineer to lead monitoring and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes, focusing on PZT ceramic formulation, batching, spray dry, pressing, and sintering to maintain yields and quality.

You will drive lean initiatives, apply DOE and Six Sigma tools, train staff, interact with suppliers and customers, and collaborate with NPI to introduce new products to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BS in Ceramic Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Materials Science.
• Experience with ceramic processing equipment is a plus.
• Experience with ceramic analytical equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs the monitoring and troubleshooting of manufacturing processes to maintain product yields and quality.
• Recommends and implements lean processes and products that improve manufacturing capabilities, efficiencies, yields and quality.
• Provides technical leadership to technicians, lower level engineers, and operators.
• Reports and interfaces process and project status and progress to management in oral and written communications. Also, interfaces with suppliers, and customers.
