Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with ceramics or investing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret Process Control Procedures, Technique Cards and other technical specifications.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to assess out-of-norm situations, institute corrective actions, and maintain production flow.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Make slurries within established process specifications and record time; track work in progress.
• Inspect soluble for defects; decide on usability; assemble patterns and build wax shells.
• Operate high/low pressure machines; monitor temperature, pressure, and inventory; assist in mix prep.
• Deposit coatings via plasma spraying; ensure uniform thickness on cores.
• Fabricate setters, reface as needed; fire setters and core packs.
• Repair ceramic cores after firing; inspect for defects and perform repairs.
• Load/unload furnaces; set up and operate firing equipment; ensure safety compliance.
• Adhere to safety rules; operate equipment safely; report safety problems.
