Job summary

UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education is recruiting instructors to teach CEQA and Land and Natural Resources courses. The role involves delivering online and prerecorded lectures, ensuring students meet learning outcomes, and collaborating with CPE staff and instructional designers to create course materials.

The position is exempt by agreement and part-time, with no UC health benefits. Instructors participate in the Defined Contribution Plan, with Safe Harbor contributions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, planning, public policy, law, geography or related field
• 5+ years of direct CEQA-related professional experience
• CEQA compliance for public agencies
• Two or more years’ experience in teaching or training professionals
• Strong communication skills for diverse student populations

Responsibilities

• Teach CEQA and Land and Natural Resources courses to achieve defined learning outcomes
• Collaborate with UC Davis support staff and instructional designers on course design
• Develop course materials including online and prerecorded lectures
• Contribute to course development in a team-based process and stay current with CEQA case law and updates

Master’s degree or JD in CEQA, environmental planning or law (preferred)
