Job summary

Midwest Assistance Program, Inc. (MAP) is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to provide visionary leadership and strategic management for a nine-state rural and tribal assistance network. The CEO will oversee budgets, staffing, and program development while engaging with RCAP, funders, and policymakers.

Relocation within MAP’s region is required as needed. The role requires strong nonprofit administration, board governance experience, and a track record in fundraising and fiscal stewardship to

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher preferred; executive leadership experience five years or more.
• Experience with nonprofit administration, budgeting, and board governance.
• Strong strategic planning, advocacy, and fundraising capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage finances, donor relations, and program development.
• Leadership in remote or multi-state operations and staff supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary, strategic, and operational leadership to fulfill MAP’s mission and goals.
• Oversee budgets, resource management, policies, and risk management; report to the board.
• Lead development efforts, grants, partnerships, and fundraising to diversify revenue.
• Direct staff management, HR policies, recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
• Represent MAP with RCAP partners, funders, and public stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with laws, contracts, and internal controls.
• Guide advocacy efforts and public relations to raise MAP’s profile.
