Midwest Assistance Program, Inc. (MAP) seeks a Chief Executive Officer to provide visionary leadership across nine Midwest states. The CEO will oversee strategic planning, budgeting, program development, and advocacy to advance MAP’s mission in rural infrastructure management.

The role requires senior nonprofit leadership experience, strong governance, and fundraising capabilities, with relocation within MAP’s nine-state region as needed. Compensation includes benefits and travel allowances.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in related field, or eight years leadership experience.
• Five+ years leading a nonprofit; senior leadership role.
• Experience with board governance and fundraising.
• Knowledge of federal and state grant funding.
• Ability to travel and manage remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff, operations, budget, resources, and succession plans; report to the board on finances and risks.
• Plan and develop short- and long-range objectives; seek new programs and partnerships.
• Oversee HR policies, recruitment, training, and compensation; staff welfare.
• Ensure fiscal compliance, audits, and internal controls; manage contracts and grants.
• Coordinate with the MAP Board of Directors and lead governance activities.
• Lead advocacy, public relations, and communications for MAP and RCAP.
• Establish production management and quality control for MAP programs.
