Responsibilities
- Schedule, cancel, reschedule, and register outpatient visits and procedures for multiple ambulatory clinics, collecting all necessary information for scheduling and registration.
- Check in and check out patients according to scheduling and registration guidelines, prioritizing based on patient needs.
- Obtain and verify patient guarantor information annually and generate referrals or authorizations as needed.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and testing upon patient check-out.
- Gather all necessary information from patients to schedule and register appointments.
- Notify appropriate personnel of scheduling changes due to cancellations promptly.
- Respond to patient and staff needs and complaints appropriately, involving supervisors and patient representatives when necessary.
- Consult with referring physicians to ensure orders are complete and request outside orders as needed.
- Collect payments and copayments during check-in or check-out.
- Reconcile cash drawer at the end of the day and report discrepancies.
- Obtain signatures on waivers for managed care at check-in.
- Complete work queues and daily tasks promptly.
- Respond to all patient communication timely.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- State criminal background check and federal checks if applicable, based on work location.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
