Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Prior healthcare experience desirable.
  • Understanding of resident rights and care procedures.
  • Departmental training provided.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when appropriate.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents and others.
  • Willingness to work harmoniously with all staff.
  • Patience, tact and enthusiasm for challenging residents.
  • Willingness to adapt to new methods and incorporate them.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inventory on a weekly basis to ensure par levels.
  • Create a list of supplies needed and purchase materials to maintain an adequate inventory.
  • Deal directly with all vendors.
  • Prepare correspondences and claims concerning damaged merchandise or shipment errors and return to vendor as required.
  • Follow prescribed budget.
  • Create and submit billing statements for resident billing.
  • Fill approved requisitions for departments for routine supplies and equipment.
  • Attend scheduled training and orientation programs to maintain quality of care.
  • Perform other related activities as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental policies and safety standards.

Job Address: 225 West Main Street Shelby, OH 44875 Crestwood Healthcare Center is currently recruiting for a Part Time Central Supply Coordinator to join our team.

PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT

The Central Supply Coordinator position exists to ensure that sufficient levels of supplies for nursing and administrative support staff are maintained at all times to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare environment is desirable.
  • Understanding of resident rights and care procedures and standards, within the scope of environmental service.

  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and work within established departmental center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
