Job summary

Dignity Health - St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, CA is seeking a Central Service Technician to ensure sterile processing and proper equipment management to support patient care teams.

You will perform decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of equipment, manage IV solution and tray inventories, and coordinate rental and return of specialized gear, while maintaining infection control standards.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• One year of Central Service or Surgical Instrument Technician experience, or six months plus CRCST/Surgical Instrument Tech course enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Operate decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of equipment.
• Manage inventory for IV solutions and procedural trays.
• Coordinate rental and return of specialized equipment.
• Use HBO, ESI, and PL WIZARD systems for patient charges and data entries.
• Ensure autoclave units are functioning properly.
• Record sterilized loads and items at end of shift.
