Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to decontaminate, prepare, and sterilize trays and instruments, and to manage inventory and data entry. The role requires familiarity with department locations and strong communication skills within a busy hospital environment.

Two years of CST experience is preferred, with Central Supply Certification and BLS preferred. This is a part-time position with daytime shifts and comprehensive benefits under the Desert Valley Hospital

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, prepare and sterilize Central Sterile trays, instruments, and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and restock supplies; perform data entry and batch patient charges.
• Demonstrate knowledge of department locations and access to all hospital areas; communicate effectively.
