Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is hiring a Central Sterile Technician to join our Perioperative Services team in Georgia. You will ensure sterile instrument sets and carts are prepared accurately and on time, supporting patient care across the hospital.

The role requires completion of a Central Sterile Tech program or CST certification, with a preference for CCST/CST credentials. A strong focus on teamwork and service quality is essential.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Central Sterile Tech program required.
• In lieu of CST, 3 years Central Sterile experience required.
• CCST - Certified Central Service Technician preferred or CST - Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service.
