Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to join our surgical services team in Atlanta, GA. You will sterilize, assemble and store instruments, and collaborate with Perioperative Nursing staff to supply timely sterile sets and case carts.

Education requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and certification as Central Sterile Tech or equivalent experience; CST certification preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Central Sterile Tech required.
• In lieu of CST Certificate, 3 years Central Sterile experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service.
