Job summary

HCA Florida Palms West Hospital is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Tech to join the Central Sterile Processing Department. You will ensure decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments and supplies to the OR and other areas of the hospital.

Responsibilities include preparing case carts, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining sterilization records. A High School diploma and CBSPD/HSPA certification are required, with 1–2 years of experience preferred;

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Certification from CBSPD or HSPA.
• Previous experience 1-2 years strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room case carts, sterile trays, and supplies for all areas of the hospital.
• Clean, assemble, wrap and sterilize reusable surgical instruments and supplies according to procedures.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records for all machine tests and monthly reports.

You will be responsible for the proper decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, supplies and equipment to the OR and other areas of the hospital.
