Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Central Sterile Technician for the Swing Day Shift. You will be responsible for managing all surgical instrument supplies, ensuring quality management, and delivering them accurately and timely. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of sterilization processes, effective communication skills, and relevant certifications.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a certification from the Certification for Sterile Processing and Distribution. An understanding of medical terminology and patient care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Central Sterile Technician is required.
• 400 hours of hands-on training is necessary before provisional certification expires.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble surgical instruments and ensure quality assurance.
• Manage inventory of medical disposables and sterilized items.
• Decontaminate and disinfect surgical equipment.
