Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ is seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician to perform instrument washing, sterilization, packaging, and setup for procedures.

You will maintain monitoring records, interpret indicators, assist OR staff with reprocessing, and uphold customer service standards across departments. Requires 2 years OR/central supply experience and CSP certification (CRCST or CBSPD). High school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 2 years operating room technician or central supply technician experience required.
• Certification in surgical instrumentation/sterilization.
• CSP Certification (CRCST or CBSPD) required.

Responsibilities

• Washing, inspecting, packaging, and sterilizing instruments/equipment.
• Maintaining accurate monitoring records.
• Using and interpreting chemical and biological indicators.
• Performs appropriate cleaning of all sterilization equipment.
• Assisting OR personnel in locating/reprocessing instruments.
• Participating in performance improvement activities.
• Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors.
• Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.
