Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Supply Technician to join our PRN team on-site. You will help ensure reusable instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly processed and available to support safe patient care.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and adherence to established processing guidelines and safety standards. Background includes HS diploma and BLS within 30 days; no professional license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• No professional license required.
• Strong critical-thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Collects, decontaminates, stores, and distributes reusable supplies and equipment.
• Inspects, decontaminates, assembles, and sterilizes instruments per guidelines.
• Operates departmental equipment safely according to manufacturer instructions.
• Provides responsive service to hospital departments while prioritizing patient needs.
• Documents sterility using chemical, biological, and mechanical indicators.
• Follows manufacturer instructions and hospital policies for processing.
• Monitors antimicrobial and disinfection solutions per guidelines.
• Maintains organized and efficient work environment.
