Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is seeking a CSS Supervisor for a full-time day shift. The role oversees sterilization of medical equipment, guides staff, and coordinates sterile instrument delivery for surgeries.

The supervisor role includes training, leadership, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. The Central Sterile Supervisor manages inventory, equipment maintenance, and integration with surgical teams to support safe, timely patient care in a modern facility

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CRCST certification preferred.
• At least 3 years related experience required.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sterilization of medical equipment and supplies.
• Provide guidance, leadership, and supervision to sterile processing staff.
• Set up standardized treatment trays and maintain related documentation.
• Maintain sterilization equipment and inventory; ensure equipment readiness for procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate timely delivery of sterile instruments.
• Assist leaders in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations and standards.
• Develop and deliver training programs for new staff and ongoing education for current team.
