Job summary

Montgomery Community College Foundation, Inc. seeks an adjunct Central Sterile Processing Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction in sterile processing concepts, combining didactic teaching with hands-on skills training and mentorship aligned to industry standards.

Responsibilities include developing lesson plans, supervising students in clinical settings, evaluating performance, and maintaining accurate records while promoting professionalism and safety in a compliant learning

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CRCST certification; 2 years sterile processing experience.
• Must be able to teach adult learners in classroom and lab settings.
• Knowledge of current sterile processing standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with LMS and educational technology (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, laboratory, and/or hybrid instruction in central sterile processing topics.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with course objectives and certification standards (e.g., CRCST).
• Evaluate student performance through exams, skills check-offs, assignments and competencies.
• Supervise and evaluate students in clinical settings; provide feedback and guidance.
• Maintain records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
• Provide timely feedback, academic support, and mentorship to students.
• Promote professionalism, ethical conduct, and workplace readiness.
• Ensure a safe learning environment and compliance with institutional policies.
• Collaborate with program faculty, coordinators, and administration as needed.
• Participate in curriculum review, program assessment, and accreditation activities.
