Job summary

LewisGale Medical Center, part of the HCA Healthcare system, seeks a Central Sterile Manager to ensure high quality, efficient patient care. You will lead sterile processing, manage daily operations, and drive continuous improvement while supporting a collaborative team in a complex hospital setting.

The role requires several years of management and CSS experience, along with a clinical mindset and strong communication with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years management experience in hospital setting with knowledge of instrumentation and sterile process.
• Basic computer word processing skills.
• 5 years CSS Management and Operating Room Supply Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competence to practice within Central Sterile’s Scope of Care.
• Manages day to day operations of assigned unit ensuring decisions, actions and group performance contributes to achievement of the unit, department, and hospital’s goals and mission.
• Communicates effectively with staff, peers, Surgical Director, external and internal customer.
• Utilizes quality improvement as basis to improve unit/departmental process.
• Pursues own professional growth and development.
• Maintains unit readiness for regulatory surveys.
• Assumes accountability for decisions and actions.
• Provides opportunities for employee development.
