Job summary

Dignity Health in San Bernardino, CA is seeking a Central Services Tech to maintain and support the hospital's IT infrastructure and sterilization services. You will monitor hardware, software and network systems, resolve issues quickly, and document solutions to improve reliability.

You will ensure autoclave units operate daily and participate in routine biological/chemical testing, logging results and reporting any malfunctions to the Central Service Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Six months experience as Central Service or Surgical Instrument Technician OR six months experience plus enrollment in CRCST or Surgical Instrument Tech course.

Responsibilities

• Is a role model for the Hospital's Customer Satisfaction effort using AIDET principles.
• Insures proper operation of autoclave units daily.
• Runs, monitors and approves biological and chemical tests during shift, records results.
• Monitors and approves Bowie-Dick test and Sterilizer Printcons; logs results.
• Inspects STERRAD, Gas and Steam Autoclaves for malfunctions and reports to Central Service Manager.
• Records end-of-shift sterilized loads and items.
