Job summary

You will receive, stock, and issue supplies, maintain inventory records, and prepare supply carts while adhering to storage guidelines and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• 1 year of sterilization experience.
• 400 hours clinical CPD experience, preferably in Healthcare.
• Sterile Processing Dist Tech certification within 12 months.
• Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor within 12 months.
• Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in compliance with AORN and AAMI guidelines for sterilization procedures.
• Coordinates with OR and Floor staff for instrumentation/supply/equipment needs.
• Works with the Surgery MMIS coordinator for surgical cards and pulling case carts systems.
• Completes assigned work on time while meeting quality, safety and regulatory standards; operates and maintains equipment.
• Assembles all surgical instrumentation for proper sterilization.
• Decontaminates all surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment under the CS department.
