Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of sterilization experience.
• 400 hours of clinical CPD experience, preferably in Healthcare.
• Certification in Sterile Processing Dist Tech within 12 months.
• Certification in Sterile Processing Dist Supervisor within 12 months.
• Certification in Sterile Processing Dist Tech within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in support of and in compliance with the AORN and AAMI guidelines for sterilization procedures.
• Coordinates with OR and Floor staff with instrumentation/supply/equipment needs.
• Works closely with the Surgery MMIS coordinator for surgical preference cards and pulling case carts systems.
• Completes assigned work on time while meeting quality, safety and regulatory standards. Operates and maintains all equipment.
• Ability to assemble all surgical instrumentation for proper sterilization.
• Ability to Decontam all surgical instrumentation as well as all patient care equipment under the CS department.
