Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a certified CST to join our surgical support team. The role covers cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and handling sterile instruments for operating rooms and related departments.

The position requires an unrestricted CST license, CRCST or sterile processing certification, and relevant LA/PSV clearances. Shifts are 10 hours, with a minimum of two per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted license/certification as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent CST experience in a community-based acute care hospital.
• CRCST certification or sterile processing certificate.
• AHA BLS, MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card, and LA County Health Clearance.
• PSV verification copy from licensing board if required.
• Copy of all current certifications and compliance documents.

Responsibilities

• CST duties include cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, cart pulling, assembly, packaging, restocking supplies, and dispensing of surgical instruments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current, valid, and unrestricted New York license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience in a community-based acute care hospital as a CST

Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or a certificate confirming successful completion of sterile processing course

AHA BLS, MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City Fire), and must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date.

Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents .

CSTs will be responsible for the overall cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, case cart pulling, assembly, packaging, restocking supplies, and dispensing of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies needed for surgical procedures in surgery and related departments such as Operating Rooms, Procedural Areas, Inpatient Units, Clinic Units, and Emergency Department.

10 hour shifts

Minimum of 2 shifts per week or as needed
