CENTRAL PLANT OPERATOR - PLANT MAINTENANCE

Position Overview

The Central Energy Plant (CEP) Operator is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing chilled water systems, high-temperature hot water systems, steam system equipment controls, boilers, and chillers for heating and cooling of EAH facilities. This involves using computer-operated monitoring and energy management systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum Experience: 3 years in diagnostic, maintenance, and repair of complex heating and cooling systems in the industrial sector.
• Preferred Education: 2-year degree in HVAC including programmable logic controls (PLC).
• Preferred Experience: 5 years in diagnostic, maintenance, and repair of complex heating and cooling systems, preferably in healthcare or industrial sectors.
• Other Requirements: Basic understanding of HVAC operations, ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications, proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office, CMMS, and web applications, and willingness to respond to routine and emergency repairs.
