Job summary

LB&B Associates Inc seeks a facilities Central Plant Manager to oversee operations and mechanical maintenance of a large central plant. The role requires expertise in building automation, O&M management, and supervising engineers and trades staff.

Responsibilities include PM program development, vendor management, and ensuring high service quality across facilities; knowledge of MS Office, NCMMS, and related licenses is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma required.
• At least 10 years in central plant operations.
• At least 5 years in a supervisory/management role.
• Experience in maintenance of large plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operations and maintenance of facility under this contract.
• Manage skilled trades, engineers, administrative, and supporting staff, ensuring the same quality of service across facilities.
• Monitor, train, evaluate, and guide engineering personnel.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Oversee the development of preventive maintenance plans and recommend predictive projects.
• Negotiate O&M contracts and manage relationships with vendors who service the buildings; qualify new vendors.
• Authority to purchase and manage maintenance supplies and repair parts for all equipment in the facilities.
• Inspect facility and equipment and report repair/replacement needs.
• Ensure proper use of the NCMMS.
• Meet with customer regularly; provide reports as required.

LB&B Associates Inc is seeking a facilities Central Plant Manager to oversee operations, mechanical maintenance of a large central plant.

Qualifications/Experience

The Central Plant Manager must have at least a high school diploma and a minimum of ten (10) years of central plant operations type experience, with at least five (5) years in a central plant management/supervisory role. The Central Plant Manager's experience must be in the operation, management, and supervision of building mechanical maintenance operations for equipment of the approximate size, complexity, and characteristics of the plant to be covered by this position.

Responsibilities

• Manage skilled trades, engineers, administrative, and supporting staff, ensuring the same quality of service across all facilities.
• Monitor, train, evaluate, and guide engineering personnel.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems, and be knowledgeable in the maintenance and repair of the mechanical systems
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Oversee the development of and implementation of preventive maintenance (PM) plans and recommend predictive projects.
• Negotiates O&M contracts and manages relationships with vendors who service the buildings being managed. Qualify new vendors.
• Shall have the authority to purchase and manage all related maintenance supplies and repair parts for all equipment's in the facilities.
• Inspect facility, and equipment, noting and reporting need for repair and replacements
• Ensure proper use of the NCMMS
• Regularly meets with customer to provide updates and receive further directions. Provide reports to customer as required.
• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), building automation systems, and computerized maintenance management systems
• Must have an excellent record of customer satisfaction.
• NIULPE Power Engineers license or related state or local stationary engineer / refrigeration operator license a plus.
• Other duties as assigned.
