Job summary

MasTec Communications Group, based in Columbus, OH, seeks an Installer III to read installation specifications, design layouts for central office equipment, and perform complex telecom installations with safety and quality at the forefront.

You will run power and data cabling, install transmission gear, prepare BOMs, and document location changes while mentoring junior installers and ensuring customer standards are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with electronics training or equivalent technical schooling.
• Minimum 3 years as a Level II Central Office Installer.
• Ability to read and interpret installation specifications.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret installation specifications for various construction projects.
• Determine floor plan layouts, power distribution, and cabling for central office equipment.
• Create installation specifications and equipment requirements to fulfill customer orders.
• Assemble, modify, and install overhead ironwork, relay racks, transmission equipment.
• Run power, signal, and ground cables to interconnect equipment.
• Maintain accurate departmental paperwork and reflect changes to customers' locations.
