Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is hiring an Installer III to read and interpret installation specifications for central office projects, design floor layouts, and manage power and cabling installations. You will prepare BOMs, supervise junior installers, and ensure quality and safety on site.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with electronics training and at least 3 years as a Level II Central Office Installer. Proficiency in Word/Excel and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with electronics training or equivalent as determined by Installation Manager.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Level II Central Office Installer.
• Ability to lift tools and equipment (minimum 10 lbs).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret installation specifications for central office projects.
• Determine floor plan layouts, power distribution, and cabling of central office equipment.
• Create installation specifications and BOMs to fulfill customer orders.
• Supervise lower-level installers on progress, material shortages, and safety.
• Run power, signal, and ground cables to interconnect equipment.
• Establish professional rapport with customers and maintain job paperwork.
