Job summary

James Hardie Building Products Inc. seeks a Central Lean Manager to drive Lean transformation across multiple North American manufacturing sites. You will partner with plant leadership to build Lean capability, align improvements with safety, quality and cost goals, and embed the HMOS into daily work.

Travel 25%–75%; role may be based at a plant or the Chicago corporate office. You will coach teams, deploy standards, run Kaizen events, and measure outcomes with clear ownership and follow-up.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence experience in manufacturing.
• Strong coaching and change-management skills across multi-site teams.
• Proven ability to translate business priorities into Lean roadmaps and measurable improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean transformation across North American sites and embed HMOS into daily work.
• Coach leaders and teams in Daily Management, standard work, and problem-solving.
• Deploy HMOS standards and Kaizen events to address critical challenges.
• Measure Lean impact with leading and lagging indicators and sustain improvements.
