Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks a Steward to perform general cleaning in the central kitchen dish room and patient tray line during meal service. Duties include dishwashing, sanitation of equipment, and assisting in other food service areas as needed.

The role requires adherence to Serve Safe guidelines, English communication, and readiness to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. A Food Handlers Permit is required, and a preference is given to those with prior food service or housekeeping

Qualifications

• Must have Food Handlers Permit per TXDSHS/ANSI
• Able to communicate effectively in English with patients and staff
• Knowledge of Serve Safe guidelines and health standards
• Experience with kitchen equipment and sanitation procedures
• Demonstrates active listening and customer-service focused communication

Responsibilities
