Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Central Fill Pharmacy Operations Lead to oversee the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of pharmacy production and fulfillment activities. You will coordinate daily workflows, support associate training, maintain SOPs, monitor performance, research incidents, and help resolve day-to-day production issues.

You’ll partner with operations leadership to meet production goals and shipping commitments.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 6+ years of related experience in pharmacy operations or a regulated environment.
• Experience working with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documented procedures.
• Experience using operational data and performance metrics to identify and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day guidance across central fill pharmacy operations.
• Create and coordinate daily work schedules to support production goals while meeting state requirements.
• Monitor production activity, give direction, and troubleshoot issues affecting safety, quality, or productivity.
• Maintain and update SOPs and ensure processes are consistently followed.
• Support the site's training program, including required company and operational training.
• Research pharmacy incidents using data to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Lead internal shipping activities to meet pickup times and verify shipping accuracy.
• Maintain and analyze operational trackers and reports used to monitor performance.
• Partner with supervisors and teammates to improve workflow and sustain efficient operations.
