Job summary

AbbVie, based in North Chicago, seeks a Principal Research Scientist II to lead the Non-regulated Bioanalysis operations within the QTAS organization. Qualifications

• PhD with 8+ years, MS with 14+ years, or BS with 16+ years in analytical chemistry or related field.
• Experience in scientific operations management within pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry.
• Experience leading operational workflows in a complex laboratory environment.
• Ability to lead and develop teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of quality, compliance, and data governance in labs.

Responsibilities

• Lead centralized operational activities for ADME, Bioanalysis, and Translational Sciences.
• Partner with leaders to standardize processes and improve workflows and metrics.
• Forecast demand, manage capacity, and ensure timely service delivery.
• Oversee vendor relationships and outsourcing activities.
• Develop a team across multiple functional areas and foster collaboration.
