Job summary

First Choice Community Healthcare INC is seeking a Central Billing Representative II to support Albuquerque, NM operations. Under the Central Billing Supervisor, you will handle patient accounts receivable, reconcile remittance advice, research and resubmit third party claims, and assist patients with billing inquiries.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2 years in healthcare billing/claims, and familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years billing/claims experience in a healthcare setting or FCCH billing externship.
• Experience in a multispecialty clinic setting preferred.
• Education may substitute for experience; knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile, research, correct and submit third party claims; resubmit errors or denied claims.
• Follow up on claim denials and resubmit denials for payment; appeal denials as required.
• Research unpaid claims and contact patients for information to aid processing.
• Handle patient inquiries and provide customer service related to billing issues.
• Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer regulations and billing formats.
