Job summary

Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals LLC in Indianapolis (Plansee Group) is hiring a Centerless Grind Operator for 3rd shift. You will grind external cylindrical surfaces of rotating metal workpieces to blueprint specifications and train on days before moving to 3rd shift.

The role requires experience with centerless grinding, the ability to adjust guides and wheels, and reading measurement tools to ensure tight tolerances. Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years' experience operating centerless grinding machines (preferred).
• Ability to read hand measuring tools and indicators.

Responsibilities

• Adjust work guides and grinding blades to achieve round parts per blueprint.
• Dress regulating and grinding wheels as instructed.
• Replace wheels as needed and set machine parameters for tight tolerances.
• Read height indicators and other measuring tools to verify part finishes.
