Job summary

SpartanNash in Howell, Michigan is seeking a store associate to display and stock products, supporting the store’s financial goals while upholding guest experience and safety standards.

You will assist in receiving, stocking, rotating shelves, and notifying management when orders are needed. The role requires familiarity with products, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to PPE, food safety, and cleaning guidelines.

Qualifications

• Retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, unloading, and stacking merchandise in the back room.
• Properly fill, rotate and merchandise shelves, cases and displays on sales floor.
• Notify the manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Have familiarity with all products carried in the departments and know the product locations in the store.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines.
• Maintain clean, attractive and well stocked departments.
• Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
