Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Stock/General Merchandise Associate at our Petoskey, MI location. You will help stock, rotate, and merchandise shelves and displays, and ensure products are correctly labeled and available for customers.

You will follow safety guidelines, assist in backroom tasks, and may support other departments as needed. High school diploma or GED preferred; prior retail experience helpful.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail oriented and accurate in handling stock and displays.

Responsibilities

• Assist in receiving, unloading, and stacking merchandise in the back room.
• Properly fill, rotate and merchandise shelves, cases and displays on the sales floor.
• Notify the manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Have familiarity with all products carried in the departments and know their locations.
• Handle spoiled or damaged products per established guidelines.
• Maintain clean, attractive and well-stocked departments.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May assist in other departments as needed.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned.
