Job summary

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Store Director – Center Store in Bloomington, IN to lead day-to-day operations and drive sales, cost control, and staff development. You will ensure a positive customer experience and a supportive work environment for employees.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years of professional experience, and 4–6 years in grocery retail operations. Familiarity with natural foods is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 5 years professional experience.
• 4-6 years grocery retail experience in store operations and merchandising.
• Experience in natural foods industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversees NL department manager and carries Grocery Manager responsibilities to ensure staff accountability.
• Provides ongoing training to staff on policies and procedures.
• Owns financial aspects of applicable departments and manages labor cost within budget.
• Manages merchandising, program execution, loss prevention, and department appearance.
