Job summary

Shreveport Job Corps Center is seeking a Lead Security Officer to oversee day-to-day safety compliance and protect students, staff, and visitors under Job Corps policies and federal regulations.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, excellent communication and conflict resolution skills, and a valid state driver's license; associates degree preferred. Salary range is $40,000 to $42,000 per year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills essential.
• Valid state driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures.
• Ensures safety and security of students, staff and facilities.
• Performs security inspections of grounds and facility.
• Reports fires and assists in suppressing fires.
• Responds to and investigates center intrusion.
• Controls disturbances and assists staff in de-escalating volatile situations.
• Ensures the rights of all individuals are protected.
• Completes required security logs, documents and records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Sign in/out visitors and maintain transportation logs.
