Job summary

Hanover Consumer Cooperative Society in Lebanon, NH is seeking a hands-on Grocery Department Supervisor to help manage COS operations, optimize daily workflows, and deliver exceptional customer service within a cooperative setting.

Under the direction of the Department Manager, you will oversee scheduling, inventory, pricing, staff coaching, and coordination with vendors, with a focus on Beverage and Bulk categories while upholding co-op standards and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with local growers and products a plus.
• Proficiency with Office 365, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of the Grocery department, including scheduling and staffing.
• Promote Grocery sales, consult with customers, assist in operations.
• Manage inventory, pricing, promotions, margins, and vendor interactions.
• Stock, rotate products, order product, and coordinate with staff and reps.
• Train, coach, supervise, and motivate department staff.
• Ensure compliance with policies, store decisions, and safety procedures.
