Job summary

Tri-Valley Opportunity Council seeks a Center Manager to lead a Head Start center, coordinating development of program options across local regions and collaborations. You will guarantee quality services, supervise staff, recruit parent involvement, and ensure fiscal and operational integrity in line with Tri-Valley policies.

Responsibilities include community assessment integration, program planning for regions V, XII, Early Head Start, and ensuring compliance with performance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associate degree or 2 years equivalent experience in early childhood education, public or community health, social work, management, or related field.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Experience supervising staff and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead center operations, ensure services meet Head Start standards and regulations.
• Develop and implement program options for multiple regions and collaborations.
• Oversee budgeting, procurement, and inventory in compliance with Tri-Valley policies.
• Recruitment and retention of center staff; performance appraisals.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and training for center personnel.
• Ensure safety, facilities, transportation, and reporting meet requirements.
• Maintain effective communication with staff, parents, and partner programs.
• Monitor program performance and provide staff development to improve outcomes.
• Supervise and provide leadership to ensure high-quality services.
• Collaborate with disability services and local agencies to meet needs.
