Job summary

Saginaw Valley State University is seeking a Director of the Stevens Center to lead the Center's staff and operations. The role oversees performance, sponsorship relationships, programming, and governance in a lean two-person team.

It combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, driving annual priorities, budgets, and member engagement, while serving as liaison to SVSU leadership and external partners at a regional level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.
• Demonstrated leadership in organizational/nonprofit settings.
• Experience building relationships with business owners, sponsors, and community partners.
• Experience managing budgets, projects, and multiple deadlines.
• Ability to work hands-on in a small-staff environment and learn university systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Center's annual priorities, operating plan, staff work, and day-to-day management.
• Maintain focus on member value, education, networking, and sustainability.
• Supervise staff and serve as liaison to Executive Council and SVSU units.
• Develop and manage annual budget, revenue forecast, and financial sustainability.
• Provide regular financial and operating reports to the Executive Council.
• Represent SCFB in the regional business community and with partners.
