Job summary

Hire Up Recruiting is assisting a premier preschool in the Washington, DC area to hire an experienced Center Director who will lead the school's educational programming and day-to-day operations.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, DC Director Certification, and 2+ years in ECE with leadership experience; responsibilities include budgeting, staff development, family relations, and health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED Education:Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education or related field.
• Meets State Requirements:DC Director Certification.
• REQUIRED Leadership Experience:2+ years’ experience in ECE, 1+ year in leadership, prior director experience.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling children and safety.
• Must meet background check eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operations of the school, focusing on educational programming, events, budget/finances, relationships, health & safety QA, and faculty onboarding/training/development.
• Train, coach, and develop the school for the future.
• Develop strong relationships with families.
• Comply with state childcare licensing regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Center Director to join the leadership team at their premier preschool in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), a genuine love for children, and a strong commitment to education.

• This is a Direct Hire position with the school
• Monday-Friday; year-round employment

Salary

• $70,000 - $88,000/year pending education, certifications, and professional Early Childhood Education experience
• Bonus incentive based on specified metrics

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operations of the school, specifically focusing on educational programming, special events and activities, managing budget/finances, relationship building, quality assurance related to health & safety, and faculty onboarding, training & development

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
• Must meet background check eligibility
