Qualifications

• MA EEC Director II certification is required.
• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree with relevant experience or training.
• 2–4 years of leadership experience in daycare/preschool/early childhood education.
• Strong knowledge of EEC compliance, licensing, and childcare regulations.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification; ongoing CE and State Registry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all center operations, ensuring compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations and licensing, aligned with Magical Beginnings' mission and handbooks.
• Ensure and implement all child-to-teacher state-mandated ratios and safety/education regulations.
• Maintain licensure readiness; communicate with licensors and adapt to regulatory changes.
• Keep staff and child files compliant; conduct monthly fire drills.
• Schedule staff within budgeted payroll while meeting licensure and quality standards.
• Supervise, coach, and support teaching staff to build a cohesive team culture as the center opens.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and classroom ratios during ramp-up of a new center.
• Implement a developmental, multicultural curriculum supporting progress and social development.
• Guide staff in assessing and recording child growth using Teacher Strategies Gold.
• Conduct monthly staff meetings, one-on-one check-ins, and parent meetings as needed.
• Partner with families to strengthen communication and drive enrollment.

• Conduct monthly staff meetings, one-on-one check-ins with staff, and parent meetings as needed
• Partner with families to build strong communication and drive enrollment as the center establishes itself in the community

$68,000 - $73,000 a year

In addition to an annual salary, our Center Directors are eligible for an annual KPI-based bonus plan.
