Job summary

Sandvik Coromant in Mebane, NC seeks a Training & Center Specialist to plan, execute, and evaluate machine demonstrations, customer tests, events, and training activities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in metal cutting, machining, or manufacturing environment.
• Advanced CAM and CNC programming knowledge.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling applications, and manufacturing technologies.
• Experience supporting demos, testing, or application engineering activities.
• Fluent English (written and verbal).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM platforms (Dynamics or similar).
• Project management experience and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for service.
• Commercial awareness with understanding of sales and marketing principles.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, execute, and evaluate machine demonstrations, customer tests, technical events, and training activities.
• Support customer visits and ensure exceptional Center experiences.
• Coordinate facility operations, machine time, equipment maintenance, and new equipment setup.
• Develop customized demonstration schedules and technical support materials.
• Support Center certification initiatives and ensure compliance with global standards.
• Gather and analyze customer feedback, market insights, and competitive intelligence.
• Support quality processes by monitoring results and driving corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Training, and Product teams to maximize Center utilization.
• Drive digitalization initiatives through e-learning, virtual demos, connectivity solutions, and VR.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
• Build and maintain partnerships with CAM software suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Benchmark best practices and implement efficiency improvements.
