Job Summary:

ArchWell Health's core approach involves a robust clinical care team dedicated to our members' needs. Care teams deliver compassionate primary care and coordinate with the broader healthcare system. The Medical Assistant (MA) supports the PCP daily operations and ensures efficient patient care. MAs greet and room members, assess health conditions, perform diagnostic tests, and may provide coverage outside their primary center.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct patient intake, record vital signs, interview patients, and review medical history. Perform examinations and screenings, ensuring patient understanding and addressing concerns.
2. Engage actively with patients during appointments, reporting changes or needs to PCP or specialists.
3. Enhance patient experience by managing phone messages, returning calls, and relaying information to physicians.
4. Perform first aid procedures, change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures, and use CPR when necessary under physician supervision.
5. Maintain OSHA safety standards and ensure accurate documentation.
6. Provide health coaching and follow-up calls to support healthy lifestyle choices.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare training.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Phlebotomy experience is highly desired.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with EMR systems like EClinical Works preferred.
• Geriatric patient experience is a plus.
