Job summary

Prior Lake - Savage Area Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for a center-based setting. You will support students with mild to severe disabilities, assist teachers with instructional activities, monitor student behavior, and help implement IEP accommodations to promote a safe, inclusive classroom.

Required: High School Diploma or GED, and either an Associate’s degree or 60 college credits, plus completion of the ParaEducator exam.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree or 60 college credits preferred/sought.
• ParaEducator exam required or must be passed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Support and monitor students in classrooms, hallways, and cafeterias for safety.
• Assist teaching staff with instructional activities and materials.
• Implement IEP accommodations under supervision.
• Monitor behavior and enforce classroom expectations.
• Assist with personal care needs as required, maintaining dignity and safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and data.
