Job summary

Centria Autism seeks enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, assisting with individualized behavior plans under a BCBA. You will use evidence-based methods to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Candidates should be patient, compassionate, and team-oriented. Training is provided; lifting up to 50 pounds is required in some duties. Pay range is $17–$23 per hour, with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate and able to work in a team.
• 18+ years of age; High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and TB test; pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under guidance of a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Reduce interfering behaviors while promoting positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with BCBA and team to monitor progress and adjust plans.
